Adam Perlman - Principal/Creative Director

Adam Perlman is the rare combination of a creative problem-solver who understands business and sales. He has over 14 years of valuable entrepreneurial experience building a business, developing and managing creative accounts, creating strategic marketing plans, and most importantly, leading the creative execution of those plans.

He has honed his skills by building brands for global companies such as: Ford Motor Company, IBM, Microsoft, Citibank, American Express, Universal Studios, EMI Music Marketing, Avery Dennison, AmerisourceBergen, DIRECTV, Bandai Entertainment, 20th Century Fox Television, Entrepreneur Media Inc., Nokia, Vintage & Contemporary Jeweler - Martin Katz, Ltd., The Orange County Pacific Symphony, and many others.

Adam founded Perlman Creative Group in 2001 in Los Angeles, California. In 2006 he opened a second design studio in Bergen County, New Jersey to better serve customers along the East Coast. For the past 9 years, he has built Perlman Creative Group into an award-winning, full-service firm providing design services to over 75 different businesses and Fortune 500 companies.

Prior to founding Perlman Creative Group, Adam was a Senior Designer and Project Manager at Directv. During his three-year tenure for the national satellite TV provider, he developed over 60 national retail promotions and customer acquisition marketing campaigns, helping Directv's customer base zoom from three million to just over ten million subscribers. His creative team was awarded the President's Golden Apple Award for generating production cost savings of over $2 million a year by redesigning and rebranding Directv This Month, a 16-page monthly publication mailed to all customers.

In 1997, Adam Perlman served as Lead Designer and Project Manager for Jurassic Park, at Universal Studio's Island's of Adventure theme park, in Orlando, Florida. Adam designed and developed over 300 units (SKU's) of original concepts for all of the licensed merchandise, packaging, products, color collections, styles and branding for three Jurassic Park themed retail stores. He also managed the entire project, maintained budgets, and led the creative team, which included illustrators, copywriters and several production artists.

Throughout Mr. Perlman’s career, he has dedicated time to contributing to the design industry, engaging in non-profit projects, and serving the local communities. Here are some examples:

2009 – Served as Student Internship Mentor by hosting a student throughout the school year and contributing to the Visual & Graphic Design Program at Midland Park High School, Midland Park, New Jersey.

2009 – Served on the panel of judges for the Art Directors Club of New Jersey
Annual Design Scholarship Competition.

2009 – Nominated to a chapter officer position by the BNI Crossroads Networking Group in Mahwah, New Jersey. He served as a Mentoring Coordinator and Educational Coordinator helping new members learn about policies, expectations, and making the most out of their participation in the networking group.

2009 – Featured guest speaker for local NJ Fellowship Group, “Men In Transition”.

2009 – Contributed to an article on jewelry catalog design for Instore Magazine offering suggestions to jewelers on their catalog designs before the upcoming holiday season. 5-09 issue page 56.

2008 – Served as a judge for the 2008 American Graphic Design Awards Competition sponsored by Graphic Design USA Magazine.

2008 – Served as Student Internship Mentor by hosting a student throughout the school year and contributing to the Visual & Graphic Design Program at Bergen County Technical High School, Parsippany, New Jersey.

2002 – Served as Career Mentor for The Riordan Fellows Program & United Friends of the Children Luncheon in Los Angeles, California.
