Perlman Creative Group cleans up a re-branding for a Dry Cleaning franchise with over 150 locations nationwide
Perlman Creative Group was commissioned to rename and re-brand the entire franchise business. This was done to help unify each of the retail locations under one brand and create consistency between each dry cleaning location.
Projects included the re-naming of the company to The Shelton Family Dry Cleaners. We also developed the corporate logo, the retail storefront signage and color scheme, the window graphics, business cards, and future development of an online system for each location to order their corporate materials. The family has always had a passion for cars, and since the company was founded in 1901, we incorporated a Ford Model T laundry delivery truck in the identity.
Developed in San Diego, California in the 1960s, the concept of one price dry cleaning set the standard for the industry. The founder, John Shelton, created an innovative system of setting up dry cleaners for his family and friends that they could operate as their own. Over the years, they have expanded to over 150 dry cleaners nationwide. In 1992, three generations of dry cleaners formed a partnership called All City Cleaners. Although All City Cleaners began in the 1960s, their tradition of dry cleaning goes back several generations as far back as 1901!
Perlman Creative Group completes the re-branding for a Non-Profit organization and Photography Competition with Syracuse University
Perlman Creative Group was awarded the contract to develop and help brand The Alexia Foundation to improve the perception of this very important non-profit organization. The goal of the new identity and website will be to help the organization gain new corporate sponsorship and interest.
On the 21st of December, 1988, 270 innocent people were killed in the terrorist bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland. Alexia Tsairis, 20, a Newhouse photojournalism student at Syracuse University, was one of them.
The Alexia Foundation sponsors a professional and student photojournalism competition awarding up to $15,000 per competition. The Alexia Grant was not established with the single purpose of rewarding the best photographers -- this is not a portfolio competition. The grant will be awarded to a photojournalist who can further cultural understanding and world peace by conceiving and writing a concise, focused, and meaningful story proposal, and who can demonstrate the ability to visually execute that story with compelling images. There is no mathematical formula for determining grantees, but the proposal and photography must both be considered of the highest quality.
The Alexia Foundation promotes the power of photojournalism to give voice to social injustice and to recognize cultural difference as our strength-not our weakness. Through grants and scholarships, the Alexia Foundation supports photographers as catalysts for change. The Alexia Tsairis Endowed Chair in Documentary Photography was established at Syracuse University, 2006.
Per the clients request, the new logo incorporated many features of the original logo, including the earth/globe and the flying dove with olive branch. All of these features are now incorporated with the type and encapsulated by a 24mm camera lens.
“I hired Perlman Creative Group to create my organization's primary brochure. I can say, without a doubt, that it was the best choice I've made in terms of marketing and branding my organization. They were instrumental in helping create the perfect image for my org. We gave him bits and pieces of our history and past materials, and he crafted it into a truly wonderful, stand-alone piece that has impressed my Board and members. While increasing interest in the Club, this piece translated interest into an actual, measurable increase in membership. We are currently in talks with Perlman Creative Group about heading the creative direction for our new website. I'm sure they will produce another expertly-crafted marketing tool for us. I highly recommend Adam Perlman and Perlman Creative Group for all your marketing, branding and design needs.”

an article on jewelry catalog design for Instore Magazine
Adam Perlman from Perlman Creative Group has been featured on page p.56 of the May 2009 issue of Instore Magazine- The Magazine for the American Jewelry Store Owner. These quotes are part of a larger article offering suggestions to jewelers on their catalog designs before the upcoming holiday season.
Now is a great time to start thinking about Christmas. To generate increased interest in some of your hottest merchandise this year, why not send out a store catalog? Its easier than you think, especially if you work with an expert. "It is possible to produce- quickly and inexpensively-a simple, stylish catalog using mostly vendor-supplied photography," says Bryan Wright of Custom Catalog Service. "Companies specializing in the design and printing of jewelry catalogs are experienced with the unique challenges of the work," he says. Another specialist, Adam Perlman of Perlman Creative Group, says a company that works with jewelers can help you select the right background, layout and paper stock and can even help with things like foil stamping, embossing or even spot gloss varnish. Think catalogs could help kick your marketing up a notch? Consider the advice here from the pros, and check out these examples of their work.

Perlman Creative Group designs and launches a new website for
the Del Rey Yacht Club located in Marina Del Rey, California
Perlman Creative Group has successfully collaborated with the Del Rey Yacht Club and Jonas Club Management Software to design and produce their new website. This substantial site was completely overhauled and has many new and exciting features.
Before designing, our first step was to listen to what the client needs and objectives were for the site and then come up with a proper site map, organize all of their content within an easy to use navigation, and create an overall site strategy. This new site has two main objectives. The first is to properly represent the entire club to non-members, and the general public in a clear and organized way in order to attract new members. We accomplished this by presenting all of the club benefits of membership including their long club history, the many facilities, dining options and menus, clubs and events, racing programs, anglers events, junior sailing programs, their Catalina Island facility, their latest club news, membership details as well as a map and directions linked through Google Maps. We also integrated links to all of their social media pages on the homepage.
The second objective of this site is to serve as an online club management tool, a resource center, historical archive database, calendar, and secure accounting database for all current club members. We accomplished this by creating a members only section with login as well as a custom Content Management System allowing the club to manage and update all of the site content. We also integrated links to weather and local tides information on the homepage, a place to publish newsletters, Member Q & A blogs linked via an RSS feed, membership meeting schedule summaries available for pdf download, and much more.
The Del Rey Yacht Club is located in Marina del Rey, California and is one of Los Angeles' most exclusive Yacht Clubs. To view their new site go to: www.dryc.org
